Join us for a 4-night/5-day photo workshop featuring the best tutors - the WPA team, plus Mike O’Connor. Focus On Tasmania provides a unique opportunity for photographers of all levels to enhance their skills and knowledge in photography. The workshop is tailored to accommodate various levels of experience and covers a wide range of photographic interests, including landscape, nature, travel, and creativity. In addition to enhancing your photography skills, we also offer guidance on processing, storing, and even selling your images.

DAY 1 - Arrive at The Tarkine Hotel - Corinna, Tasmania

November 9

Welcome to your photo adventure base for the week! We will kick off at 1 PM today with a workshop, the locations and subjects are virtually limitless! Enjoy an afternoon shoot session in the late light to apply some of your newly acquired skills. A group dinner is included. (D)

DAY 2 - Tarkine Wilderness

November 10

Rise early to capture the breathtaking sunrise at nearby Pieman River. You’ll be challenged by light, patterns, and the natural environment. We will return for a late breakfast. A workshop focused on processing and workflow will help expand your visualization skills. In the afternoon, we head out to walk one of the Tarkine’s many trails. Beautiful wilderness will offer you unique imagery. (B,D)

DAY 3 - Tarkine - Pieman River Cruise

November 11

Morning walk for first light. This iconic location features stunning birds, and inspiring creative opportunities. Your four tutors will be available to assist with visualisation, concepts, and any questions you may have. We will return to our accommodation, in time for our Pieman River Cruise on the famous Arcadia II. The cruise is beautiful, offering reflections and weird patterns. We enjoy lunch near the beach and cruise back. A mixed day of the best of this wilderness location. (B,D)
