Luxury Ganges Cruise

We are thrilled to present our second India Ganges Cruise! Be one of the first Australian photographers to explore the Ganges on a unique luxury vessel. We will journey along the Ganges River, discovering its villages, tributaries, and rich culture—all aboard the 5-star riverboat, Ganges Voyager. This stunning ship epitomizes luxury in every aspect, from the attentive staff to exquisite cuisine and spacious decks, featuring teak and mahogany finishes as well as remarkable artwork. As we glide through the less-visited regions of India, you will have the chance to explore the many adventures of Kolkata, Kalna, Matiari, Baranagar, Murshidabad, Mayapur, and Chandernagore. Just One Morning - we will enjoy a rickshaw ride through the vibrant city center of Kalna, en route to the enchanting Rajbari complex, which boasts the highest concentration of temples in the region. Bengal’s diverse temple architecture includes the Nabakailas Temples, built in 1809 by the Bardhaman Maharaja. This complex contains 108 eight-slope-roofed temples—74 in the outer circle and another 34 forming the inner circle. After spending quality time at this remarkable location, we will board our luxury vessel and continue the adventure!

We include lovely 4-5 Star accommodation tonight, meeting at 4pm for a workshop and a chance to ask

questions. We include our first group dinner.

DAY 2 - KOLKATA, EMBARKATION: 12:00 PM

January 7

Morning embark the ship at the Jetty in Kolkata and enjoy lunch on board. The afternoon excursion includes

a visit to Mother Teresa’s Home and Tomb. Mother Teresa started the Missionary of Charity in 1952, then lived

and worked here until her death in 1997. The permanent exhibition includes a visit to her personal room, we

learn her life story, and see her charity that is still active. Then we return to the ship to overnight.
