Melbourne City Photo Walk

Join the Leal Family for a fun morning walk starting and finishing at the Royal Botanical Gardens (Janet Lady Clarke Rotunda, Royal Botanical Gardens Melbourne). It is a Free walk to promote the beauty of photography. Anyone can join from smart phone users to photo enthusiasts and professionals. Lucky giveaways will be offered and you can (optional) enter a competition with further prizes.

WALK LEADERS

Darran and Pearce Leal, of World Photo Adventures, will offer some fun challenges and the option to walk with them and see what might interest them as professional photographers. The walk is open to your interests and finishes at Janet Lady Clarke Rotunda, Royal Botanical Gardens, where they are offering to look at your favourite image of the morning. What a great chance to meet other photographers and learn new concepts. Hundreds of similar walks are taking place around the world on October 5. What a special opportunity to be apart of this unique photo adventure!

THE WALK

We start and finish at - Janet Lady Clarke Rotunda, Royal Botanical Gardens Victoria. Start time is 8am.

The option is available to target the botanical gardens area, South Bank and City Centre. You walk as much or as little as you like and we encourage friends, family members or club members to join you. Age has no barriers. The main aim is a simple fun walk with fellow minded photographers, with walk leaders helping you from tips and techniques, to motivation to help your photographic interests.

ABOUT THE WALK LEADERS

Since 1981, Darran Leal has been teaching photography (starting as assistant to Warren Macris) providing unique photo adventures that seamlessly blend the joy of a holiday with the art of photography. His journey expanded in 1989 when he offered his first photo tour to Norfolk Island. Darran has written over 300 articles for 20 magazines including the past 12 years for Australian Photography. He is the presenter for Snap Happy The Photography Show. He has self published several books and completed commercial shoots for organisations like Qantas, World Expo 88 and Warner/Movieworld.

Son's Pearce and Frazer Leal are full time photographers/educators who work in the family business. They have both extensively travelled the world and love to help fellow photographers. Julia is the backbone of the team and not a bad shot herself. She loves her smart phone and regularly captures her own gems.
