WHAT’S THIS ADVENTURE ABOUT?
Our 10th adventure to the beautiful Island of Tasmania will offer you days of fantastic field tuition and shoot opportunities, based at 3/4 Star quality lodges and hotels. This tour suits photographers of any level and to any interest.
We target one of Australia’s iconic landscapes offering quality shoot times and the chance to go beyond snap shots at this location and make stunning images. But it is not only the landscapes that you can enjoy. We also shoot fantastic nature subjects from the famed Tasmanian Devil, to wombats, waterfalls, macro subjects like mushrooms and so much more.

Itinerary to photo adventure…
WELCOME TO TASMANIA …
DAY 1 – Launceston to Cradle Mountain
We depart Launceston this morning at about 9am and drive west to the wild’s of Cradle Mountain. (Note that you should book at least one night’s accommodation, before this event in Launceston. It is a great town to explore. Julia will offer our workshop start point accommodation about 3-4 months before the event.)
We head out to your first shoot at 4pm and lovely late light. A chance for great images and for your professional photo guide to help you in the field with the best techniques. We include our first group dinner tonight.
Lodge accommodation – (D)
DAYs 2,3,4,5 – Cradle Mountain
Four magical full days exploring this fascinating wilderness location! We shoot early and late near and around Dove Lake. But this region is not just landscapes, it also offers outstanding nature. Your professional guide has visited this location many times since 1979. He will work hard to offer you shoot options that few other photographers have shot. We target waterfalls, rainforest, wombats, birds, wallabies and some fun creative shoots. We mix outdoor field workshops with theory and review images shot to help you explore your creative boundaries.
The last evening includes a final group dinner and the chance to look at a few favourite images of the trip. You will be amazed at the diversity of imagery in the group. From landscapes to nature and of course some unique creative results.

DAY 6 – Cradle Mountain to Launceston
We depart today and drive back to Launceston and the end of the tour. We suggest that you stay another night in town. Late afternoon (3pm and later…) flights ‘might be possible’ to catch. Please firm this up with Julia before booking your flights. (B)
