WHAT’S THIS ADVENTURE ABOUT?
This will be our 8th tour to the amazing Galapagos Islands. Nature is unafraid of humans – this offering one of life’s great nature experiences.
This is a land based tour, linked to our Galapagos Cruise. You can book both or just one. We are offering beautiful 4 star accommodation right on the water with mixed daily activities, plus quality free time which is what this location suits.
Near our accommodation you will have access to lovely beaches and a small vibrant village. Puerto Ayora is fantastic to explore, plus on one of the days, we travel exclusively on a motor yacht to explore nearby wildlife locations. We can not stress enough how the following combination of leading world experts will make this a holiday of a life time: Local expert naturalist guide and two professional WPA photo guides.
“I find this short land adventure one of my favourite South America and nature experiences. We explore quiet beaches, Land Tortoise up close and we are based at one location. Few get to experience this!” Darran
In 2023, we invite you to photograph some of the best landscapes, culture and nature locations in the world! The diversity will blow you away!
ITINERARY TO ADVENTURE…
DAY 1 – Guayaquil to Puerto Ayora
We depart Guayaquil (as a group) and transfer to Guayaquil Airport for our flight to the Galapagos Islands – how exciting! (It is possible to book more nights accommodation if this interests you.)
(PLEASE NOTE: If you are joining the cruise, the flight is included. If you are not joining the cruise, you will need to book your own return flights – Guayaquil-Baltra airport-Guayaquil.)
We land at Baltra airport near Santa Cruz Island. Reception at airport and transfer to our accommodation at Puerto Ayora. We drop off our bags at our accommodation and head out to explore the main Santa Cruise Island. We include a land tour via bus, exploring a host of subjects with key shoots including tortoise, rainforest and perhaps, the beautifully red Vermillion Flycatcher. (B)
DAYs 2&3 – Exploring the Galapagos
October 31 – November 2
Two full days (including one boat excursion) to our selected locations, returning to our waterfront accommodation. This is left as an open itinerary, so that Darran and our local expert guide can target the best opportunities for the current season. Plus you will enjoy a little free time to explore this vibrant small town. The cafe’s and restaurants are fantastic. (B)
