WHAT’S THIS ADVENTURE ABOUT? 

Join us on our second tour to this magical landscape kingdom. Atacama Desert (Chile & Bolivia) is considered the driest desert on Earth. It covers the Altiplano or Andean plateau of northern Chile, northwest Argentina and the southwest of Bolivia. It hosts some incredible locations for photographers such as the Tatio Geysers, active volcanoes, colourful formations at Moon Valley and the Salt Range, enormous salt lakes, abundant wildlife as herds of vicuñas, 3 species of flamingos. The ‘other world’ landscapes are a key target for this adventure! They are spectacular and so unique that you will have the chance to shoot award winning images and experience landscapes like no other place on this planet. Vast open plains, giant volcanoes, weird geysers and rugged ranges are just a part of the scenes.

The south of Bolivia will offer you James’ flamingos, more volcanoes, picturesque villages, the largest salt plain on Earth (Salar de Uyuni) and the experience of staying in a salt hotel. Imagine spending a night in the white walls of a room that is cut from salt? We will be targeting all of these locations and subjects, as your holiday offers quality time to explore. Other wildlife includes vicuñas (member of the camel family), beautiful raptors and unique flowers and plants. We will also mix in some cultural experiences. While few people live in the regions visited, they are tough and colourful characters, this opening up unique creative opportunities. We include our famous WPA professional photo guide and a local expert guide throughout the tour to help you enjoy your adventures. Your guides will work hard to maximise the many unique photo opportunities of this photo holiday.
