Wilsons Promontory

PHOTO WORKSHOP – September 6/9 – 2021

For photographers at any level…

Stunning landscapes and nature…

HIGHLIGHTS

* Targeting fantastic beaches

* Great bird photography

* Beautiful nature

* Unique creative shoots

INCLUSIONS

* Professional WPA Photo guides – your images come first!

WHERE WILL IT BE HELD?

We are based at the stunning location of Wilsons Promontory National Park, at Tidal River just a couple of hours south of Melbourne. This is a five day workshop that will help photographers of all levels. Just a couple of hours from Melbourne – the landscapes and beaches are stunningly unique! Nature and creative subjects will also challenge your skills. Please note that accommodation is limited!

WHAT ARE OUR WORKSHOPS ABOUT?

They are different to our tours in that we are based at one stunning location and offering a few days to target key facets of photography. Quality time exploring landscapes to nature with the best field workshops. We also process some of the images with one on one help from your professional photo guides.

Here are the key points why you should join a WPA workshop:

1. We limit the group size to 5-7 photographers per tutor. This offers you personal assistants and the chance for ONE ON ONE help with one of the world’s leading photo tutors.

2. We help everyone from novice to a seasoned enthusiast.

3. Your imagery comes first – not the tutors!

4. We set challenges and offer fun concepts to help you understand photography better and to help you reach your creative goals.

WHAT TO BRING?

For the photography shoots, bring all of your gear and a tripod. We will have opportunities to shoot everything from the smallest insect to great landscapes, beaches and some nature. A computer/laptop is desirable for optimising your processing workshops, BUT it is not essential. Contact Darran for more help – darran@worldadventures.com.au

ITINERARY – to adventure…

DAY 1 – WILSONS PROM

Monday September 6

We start at Tidal River at 10am today sharp. Morning workshop looking at the basics and beyond. Experienced photographers will gain from asking questions to their level, through to those that need a little more help.

After lunch, we explore processing and the importance of this tool. We head into the field this afternoon for late light on a nearby beach. Your tutors will be on hand to maximise the opportunities.

DAYs 2&3 – WILSONS PROM

Tuesday & Wednesday September 7 & 8

Each day is different and each day will improve your skill level and knowledge of photography. We include morning shoots from beaches to bush walks, with a few photo challenges. Can you see the patterns, lines and light in the scenes?

We include processing workshops, before heading out for further afternoon/evening shoots. We work around weather and opportunities to maximise your photography interests. If you have never photographed birds, then this is a great workshop to find out how. The diversity of subjects is fantastic. Your professional photo guides are there to help your photo interests, not for their own imagery.

DAY 3 – WILSONS PROM

Thursday September 9

Final morning shoot, before we get together at 10am. Final workshop on processing and using your images for everything from prints on a wall, to books and more. The event finishes about 12 noon.

Meals are not included. Choice to bring your own food, or use nearby shops.

The itinerary continues…
