WHAT’S THIS ADVENTURE ABOUT?
Our forth tour to Iceland will maximise your experiences – from ‘Northern Lights’ to photography in one of the world’s great wilderness locations. We also include most meals and a local expert driver/guide. Plus, we include three ice cave adventures!
Iceland is close to the Arctic Circle and offers stunning landscapes from fiery volcanoes to cold ice fields. We have selected a great time to target the famed Northern Lights and the gorgeous subjects that this unique island offers. This photo tour will offer you a wealth of subjects from blue ice glaciers, ice caves, to colourful buildings in wild landscapes, plus seascapes, waterfalls, thermal activity. We will maximise locations for evening shoots. In particular, we are looking at great foreground subjects to add to the scene. In nature, nothing is guaranteed.
However, our local expert guide and your experienced professional photo guide will pick unique locations and offer quality time for the best Northern Light experience possible. And we will target the stunning creative options at Jökulsárlon glacial lagoon and surrounding region. This is truly one of the top shoot experiences for those keen to be creative. Your professional guides will help you every step of the way, offering quality time in magic locations!
A great land package! All your accommodation, most meals, expert local driver/guide, professional photo guide and details as per itinerary. You simply need to organise flights and to get yourself to the start of the tour and for the departure. Julia is happy to help you.

DAY 2 – REYKJAVIK – GULLFOSS – GEYSIR – ÞINGVELLIR
Today we depart in our private small bus with our local expert guide, driving through recent lava fields and snow to explore Iceland. Our key targets for the first few days are the iconic waterfalls and beaches of southern Iceland. Our first stop is to the mighty waterfall of Gullfoss – the Golden falls – perhaps the most beautiful in the country. Here the glacial river of Hvítá (white river) tumbles 32 meters (105 ft.) in a double cascade. After lunch, we explore the active geothermal area of Haukadalur which contains the geysers Geysir and Strokkur, and many other hot springs. Our last stop of the day is Þingvellir (Thingvellir) National Park (1930) and UNESCO World Heritage Site (2004). We stroll around the country’s most sacred site, home of the oldest existing national parliament in the world, the Alþingi, and major events in the history of Iceland. Thingvellir is a place of fascinating natural beauty, a spectacular geological vista, set on a vast plain flanked by large fissures, right by Iceland’s largest lake, Thingvallavatn. Tonight we will try our luck to see the Northern Lights, so step out into the garden. Way too exciting!

DAY 3 – SELJALANDSFOSS – SKÓGAFOSS
Today we drive further along Iceland’s south coast. Our first stop of the day is Seljalandsfoss, a graceful ribbon-like waterfall, which drops from an overhanging lava cliff. It is possible to walk behind it, but do not expect to stay dry! We continue to the impressive Skógafoss waterfall (62m, 203 feet) and is among the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. We head towards Southeast for our next overnighting. Tonight we will continue our hunt for the Northern Lights.
