WHAT’S THIS ADVENTURE ABOUT?
We are offering three China tours. Why? China is a big country and these 3 adventures are all different and exceptional.
You can join us on this short tour to explore a landscapes photographers dream – sunrise is the best time for us to catch the best light on the gorgeous Wulingyuan Pillars. Avatar Movie director James Cameron created the Avatar Planet inspired by these unique formations. This short tour will offer you the best landscape angles and opportunities at the famous mountains of Zhangjiajie.
This special holiday targets some of the most incredible landscapes and unique cultures on this planet! Google, Liuguan Village, Matang Gejia Village, Datang Village – these are rarely visited groups who live traditionally. The clothes and village scenes are amazing. We also shoot the iconic cormorant fisherman, with stunning mountains backdrops. This whole region opens up the beautiful landscapes of Huangshan – which means Yellow Mountain. This is truly a unique location! Plus we target Hongcun, a UNESCO World Heritage Site housing typical South Anhui architecture (one of the most photogenic villages in China.)
Our 3rd tour to beautiful China, will offer you a different experience! We target locations less visited and offer some of the world’s rarest nature. Golden monkeys, both panda species, plus we add iconic cultural shoots. The quality time offered to you will be appreciated as you shoot unique imagery of these subjects. We even add the famous Terracotta Army.
Combined, these tours will guarantee outstanding cultural experiences through to Panda, Golden Monkeys, mountains that are a landscape photographers dream and rarely visited tribal groups that are still dressed traditionally and live similar to their ancient ancestors.

Itinerary to photo adventure…
DAY 1 – XIAN
We suggest that you arrive in Xian at least 24 hours before today. Meet times etc. will be offered in the final itinerary.
Xi’an, has over 3,000 years of recorded history and has the capital of 12 dynasties, though it has been known as various names, most notably as Chang’an. It was also the starting point of the Silk Road, where camels were loaded for their long and perilous journey to Central Asia. Xi’an has recently become an important centre for the central government’s drive to develop western china. As an economic center for the region, Xi’an is in a natural position for further development; Aviation is already an important industry for the city.

DAY 2 – XIAN TO GOLDEN MONKEY RESERVE
In the morning, we visit and photograph the Terracotta Army, created to guard the tomb of Qin Shihuang, the first emperor to unite China. One of the most remarkable archaeological discoveries of all times, the Terracotta Army is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We leisurely admire this vast array of soldiers. After this special experience, we take a 1 hour high-speed train to Foping Golden Monkey Nature Reserve. Foping is located in north of Qinling Mountain. Qinling Mountain is the home of giant panda, golden monkey, Takin, red panda and other wildlife. There are 39 groups of golden monkey living in Qinling Mountain Range, in total 4,000-5,000 monkeys. The golden monkeys we will photograph are one of the three sub groups of total 200 monkeys. There are four species of Golden Monkey in Asia, three of them living in China and one species is living in Vietnam and Myanmar. Between 1862-1874, French Missionary Pere David found giant panda, golden monkey and a lot of wildlife and botany that was only found in China. Golden Monkey is also called snub-nosed monkey, they are living 1,500 to 3,300 meters above sea level. Their main food is fruit, bamboo shoot, leaves, fresh buds, fresh branch, etc. Every birth is one child, and young male monkeys will be driven out of the family, the ratio male monkey versus female monkey is 1:2. The lifetime is 20-25 years old.
