Who is Russell Preston Brown?
Russell has joined WPA events for two decades. From the Galapagos to book making workshops, he loves to help all photographers. Russell is very experienced with eclipse photography techniques and looks forward to helping you shoot and experience one of life’s great events.
As Sr. Creative Director at Adobe Systems Incorporated, Russell Preston Brown holds a unique position in the computer industry. Russell maintains a vital presence in the digital design and publishing community, facilitating the exchange between the user and software developer that is so essential to Adobe’s software development. With complete mastery and breath taking style, Brown shows users how to work – and play – with Adobe software. He has given the world’s leading photographers, publishers, art directors, and artists a strong grasp of the software tools that, by virtually all accounts, have led to Adobe’s applications becoming the standard by which others are measured. Russell is an Emmy Award Winner 2008 (Dr. Brown’s Photoshop Laboratory) and a Photoshop Hall of Fame Winner 2002.
This is an Ultimate Eclipse Photo Adventure!
This tour starts and finishes in the small village of Pucon in Chile, south of Santiago. This places us in the heartland of stunning backdrops like volcanoes, lakes and forests.
While we will offer adventures shooting around this great location, the key target is the December 2020 full eclipse. We will use our expertise to maximise the best location for a clear view. We will also use our expertise to help you shoot stunning imagery of this rare event.

Day 1: Pucon – Chile
December 10
You should already be in Pucon. Your special package starts today with accommodation, dinner and our first meeting at 4pm. A chance to ask questions and to start fine tuning for the adventures ahead.

Days 2,3,4: Exploring Around Pucon
December 11/12/13
We explore around this beautiful region, plus offer you workshops, specific to the eclipse and your photo interests. From volcano’s to lakes, forests to the sea, Pucon is a great base to learn new skills and shoot great new images. We include all meals.
Although Darran will check your equipment before departure, Russell and your professional WPA guide will double check your equipment in Pucon and optimise it to the eclipse.
