On the Road – Lamington National Park

On the Road

Lamington National Park

This is one of Queenslands premier parks and one of the hottest shoot locations on earth. However, it is a tough place to go to by yourself as the nature here is very specialised and the walks require the right timing. For me, it is where I started to fine tune my photo skills and I find this happens again and again on each visit. Over the years, WPA has offered nearly 20 events and helped a lot of photographers to explore the amazing birds, reptiles and other weird and wonderful creatures. Yes this even includes snakes! What starts out for many as a challenge to shoot a carpet snake, ends up being one the the weeks highlights.

It is a top location for workshops and we mix indoor with outdoor assistance in the field. At the end of the week, photographers get to show their favourite 10 images of the week. The diversity is outstanding! I hope you enjoy some of our past event images and I hope you can join our next group to beautiful Lamington.
